Today in SCIENCE we:

• Had current events. When will your turn be?
• Did vocabulary #14, handed in vocabulary #13.
• Talked about the COLOSSAL SQUID!! How big is it? How does it compare to a giant squid? How far down the hallway do we have to go to illustrate its size?
• Talked about pioneer speices. What is a pioneer species? It was one of our vocabulary words a while back.
• Did the give it a try on p62, worked in partners.
• Read p62-63 together. What is succession? What is the difference between primary and secondary succession? These were vocabulary words last week!
• Complete p64 #1-6 for homework. Due MONDAY.

• Read pages 50-51 as a class.
• Did the Give it a try on p55 as a JOURNAL ENTRY.
• Check & Reflect p54 #1-4.
• Read p55-60, omit p58-59.
• WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT OUR BRAINSTORMING!!

• Did current events. For those of you that were ready, WELL DONE! Don't forget to check your schedule.
• No vocabulary today - don't get used to that!
• Started our BRAINSTORMING. What kind of an action project would you like to do to help people become more aware of the environment, and what we can do to protect it? You are very creative, I know I will be dazzled by your ideas. Come to class with 5 (FIVE) ideas on Tuesday.

• Did Vocabulary #11. Due Wednesday.
• Had current events. Is it your turn on Wednesday?
• Did an Interim Self Evaluation. How do you think you're doing?
• Will have a quiz on Wednesday on sections 1 & 2.
• Look at the summary on p85 to help you prepare.
• Make sure you have completed sia7 p 25 #1-5 (we did this a while ago), & sia7 p48 #1-8, due Wednesday.
• What could we do as an action project?

Please remember to BRING BACK the water bottles you borrowed for the field trip.

They belong to Mr. Mang.

• Went to the recreation centre to see a parks Canada presentation about the history of parks in our country and the history of the earth.
• Wrote a journal entry about this play.
• Did Current Events.
• Did you enjoy the play?
• Try to review what we have done so far in our interactions & ecosystems unit.
• No homework for fall break, enjoy this time & come back ready to work HARD!

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Handed in Vocabulary #9.
• Got Vocabulary #10 - due Wednesday.
• Reviewed what we did last Tuesday.
• Reviewed our AMAZING field trip.
• Wrote a 2 paragraph journal entry: What did you do and learn on your field trip? What could you DO as an ACTION PROJECT to make people aware of, and help them protect this area?
• Did current events.
• Got a Current Events Schedule....no excuses.
• Due on WEDENSDAY: sia7 p 24 c&r #1-6 (should have been done already), p 25, ayl #1-5. What does "ayl" stand for?

Even if you have ALL of the questions left to do, that should be no more than 6 questions each evening.
