• Did Current Events, well we tried to. No one was ready, why not? If it is your turn on Tuesday please be prepared.
• Did word list #33.
• Did a volcanoes & earth structures worksheet. How did it go? Did you use a ruler? Your textbook?
• Worked on questions: sia7 ayl, p367 #1-10. Remember to format properly. How did you use your class time?
• Finish reading sia7 p377-390, omit p382-383 & 388-389.
• Quiz on Tuesday.

• What are the layers of the Earth? What do you know about them?

• Homework: Do sia7 p366 c&r #1-5 Read & Understand sia7 p368-376, omit p373-375

• Did current events.
• Got Word list #31. You had 15 minutes to work on this, that is 3 minutes per word. Did you finish? Why or why not?
• Finished watching Journey to the Centre of the Earth. What did you think?
• Did a journal entry about the movie. Include in your journal entry: Names, What Happened, Main Ideas, Is it Reality?, What they did to solve the problems, what you thought about the movie.
• What are models & theories?
• Distributed Vermi-Composters to other classrooms. What are they? What will we use it for?
• Homework: Read & Understand sia7 p363-376.

• Did not do vocabulary!
• Did current events: who needs to be ready for Monday?
• Got our quizzes back & went over them. How did you do?
• Kept working on our Structures & Forces Review booklet. You will hand this in on TUESDAY.
• For review you can also do sia7 p342 #1-11 & p343 #19, 20, & 21. DO NOT write down question #19.
• Don't forget to review your notes!
• UNIT FINAL TUESDAY!

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Did current events....it is an easy 5%, practically a gift!
• Did vocabulary #29. This vocabulary list was desgined to help you with your quiz today. If you used the 15 minutes of class time you got wisely, it should have been a huge help. Some of the words are repeats, why might this be?
• Did a quiz on sections 3 & 4. How did you do? Do you understand the importance of reading the instructions CAREFULLY??
• Got a review booklet. Your Unit final for structures & forces will be on TUESDAY February 10, 2009. If you have questions PLEASE ASK!
• You will receive one & ONLY one review booklet. Do NOT lose it. Don't ask me for another, you won't get another. One & ONLY ONE.
• Finished watching our movie Six Degrees that could Change the World. What did you think? Wrote a journal entry about it. It is homework. Remember to answer the questions: What was it about? What do you think about it? How can the way we build & maintain structures help?
• On Friday you will get to brain storm with your invention groups. You must submit a list of group members, a propsed invention with a proposed materials list by Tuesday. You will get time on Friday to work on this, so PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT.

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Did vocabulary #28. Where is your duotang?
• Did current events. We're on the new schedule now, do you know when your turn is?
• Read about Roller Coasters on sia7 p333. Did a journal entry about it. You should be finished with this journal entry and it should be in your duotang which should be left in teh classroom.
• Talked about forces.
• Watched some more of the moive Six Degrees that could change the World. What do you think? What is happening with the glaciers? With the Ganges River? Could it happen here? How? Why?
• YOU WILL HAVE A QUIZ ON SECTIONS 3&4 on WENDESDAY.
• Homework #1 - study for your quiz on Wednesday. 25 questions, multiple choice.
• Homework #2 - brainstorm your invention, what would you need to build a prototype? You should prepare a LISTof items you will need to construct it. Who will you work well with? Not more than 4 people per group.
• A quiz is imminent. What does this phrase mean?
